Great women in Nigeria

Hello lovelies, we would be looking at the lives of five great women in Nigeria this week. First we would look at the life of Agbani Darego and what made her great.
                         Agbani Darego
Chief Agbani Darego was born 22 December 1982, she is a Nigerian model and a beauty queen who was crowned miss world in 2001. She was the first indigenous African to win miss world.
Her educational background:  Bereton Montessori Nursery and primary school. Federal Government Girls' college, Abuloma. New York university.
Title:  most beautiful girl in Nigeria
           Miss world 2001
In 2001, Darego was crowned most beautiful girl in Nigeria contrary to popular belief,Darego did not replace Valerie peterside after the latter was dethroned as she had competed in rival pageant miss Nigeria. A few months later she was a contestant at miss universe, and became the first Nigerian to place among the 10 semi- finalist, finishing seventh overall. She was the only contestant to wear a modest maillot as opposed to a revealing bikini during the swimsuit competition. That singular act made her stand out and given her bonous in winning the pageant.
In November that year she became the first indigenous African to claim the miss world title. Darego's victory was widely welcomed in her home country and her one year tenure included goodwill trips and scheduled appearance on behalf of the pageant, and a national honour of MFR.
Note: her achievement in becoming the first indigenous African to become miss world made her a great personality in Nigeria. Ladies who are aspiring to become beauty Queens and models should goggle more on Agbani Darego and learn from her.
Have pleasant day ahead tomorrow we look at another great woman in our country Nigeria who should be role models to our young ladies. Am trophy precious
